Discussion of measurement principles and signal conditioning circuits for biomedical engineering. This course reinforces topics such as DC and AC circuit analysis techniques and introduces topics such as op-amp circuit and frequency analysis in the context of biomedical signal conditioning. Fundamentals of digital logics and flip-flops will also be introduced. Lastly, the working principles of different types of biomedical sensors (surface potential, temperature, force, pressure, velocity), and the topic of uncertainty analysis will also be covered.
